Even though I have been a member for some time I have not posted an image before, so here goes my first post.
A flock of waxwings have been around S Yorks for the last few weeks and though never easy I have managed to catch up with them ocasionaly.

Hi Paul
Not the easiest of crops with the bird sideways on , and on a branch hanging down like this.
Well done with the light conditions too. Enjoy the forum

Welcome to the forum and a fine shot to begin posting with.
The bird stands out wonderfully from that backdrop.
Love the pose and how closely the background colour resembles that of the bird.

An excellent shot, well seen and superbly handled lighting wise.
Nice first post, I think it could do with a little more DOF it looks as if the branch in front is a tad sharper than the bird.
Well seen.

Nice to see you finally made it to posting

A load of these appeared not far from me a few weeks ago but each time I went out it ended up being miserable.
