Ruby Beach In B&W

Going back thru Oct captures and came across these from Ruby and Second Beach in WA. Was a cloudy hazy day color just wasn't working so gave B&W a shot don't know if these are going to work either.
Any suggestions, CC appreciated

Works for me. I like the texture of the rocks, some of the light poking through on the beach. Normally I don't like trees on the side like you have here, but I think it adds balance. I have nothing to say in terms of how you would improve the image, so I'll just lurk for the rest of the responses.

Ray: There is a bit of haloing on the stacks, mostly on the R-hand one; not sure what that's from. Also it looks to me like the R 1/5 of the image was dodged in a way that lightened the clouds unnaturally.
