Steve, this image is an amazing piece of work IMHO. As I stated in my original comment in ESS, I could not find anyway to have improved on this photograph at all.
The image not only shows your understanding of the technical attributes to capture and process this scene, but to me it also has your own personal spin and passion for this art form embedded into it as well. A wonderful scene.

Agreed, this is an incredible shot. Well thought out and composed. Great color and water motion.
Who ever thought Malibu could look so good. I usually think of overcrouded surf spots, tourists and Baywatch. But this demonstrates a whole different side of the area.

Derek, Once as I finished a caught zero session at County Line, I counted the amount of surfers in the water there 75. Staircase just on the other side of the condos was more of a mellow spot for me. Thanks I try to remove the evidence of man in Malibu and it's not that easy.

Yeah,
I have surfed County Line on days like that - not many waves and way too many grumpy ppl sitting in the water.
I grew up surfin' the South Bay and after moving to CO I haven't really got back into it too much. But for those who look some nice landscape scenery can found.
