I took this when visiting Acadia back in September. We were hiking around Jordon Pond and found this single red leaf on the evergreen branch. This is exactly how I found it, including the dew from a heavy fog that morning. I really liked the color contrast between the red and green. Other than a little extra vibrance when reading the raw file I have not enhanced the colors at all.
The thing that makes this so special is that the maples had really not started to turn when we were there in early Sept. This one got a jump on all the rest.
Sorry it took so long for me to get over to NENP. Nice image with an interesting comp and detail. The colored leaves have long gone and we are in the middle of a pretty harsh winter. This image brings back fond memories.

Wonderful find and great capture. I love the leaf and the composition and the dew, but it seems soft to me. Did you sharpen it? Can I download it and post my version here?
