Hey all - As you may or may not know, quite a few photographers from NPN belong to Travel Photographers Network as well. TPN has just produced a book of submissions from all their members through the Blurb publishing site. I figured some of you may be interested -

I'd include a list of NPN photographers who have been included, except that I won't know until I receive my copy!

EDIT : I've removed the link to the book, as there have been some technical issues, and the initial link was meant for TPN only. I'll update this when things are sorted out.

You beat me to it, David!

From what I saw when helping to judge the entries from more than 40 photographers for submissions to the book, I think it's pretty safe to say that some of the NPN photographers included besides David and myself are: Tom Guffey, Kah Kit Yoong and Marsel van Oosten.

After viewing and judging something like 500 images (more or less), I have even more respect and admiration for all the moderators of the various galleries, at both NPN and TPN!!! :toast:

From what little I've seen the photography is very impressive and the book is quite nice. I wonder if there may be an NPN version in the future? Nudge, nudge, wink, wink.....

Eek! You're right. That's what I get for typing fast and thinking slow.

Thanks Toni :toast:

I am considering creating a 'sample' book and I just took a look at the Blurb site. It looks interesting, but I have a few questions for users of the service...

1. How would you rate the quality of the reproductions and the readability of text?
2. How would you rate their customer service, shipping, etc.?
3. Is their software 'user-friendly'?
4. Any other info that I might find useful?

Thanks, all,

-P

Preston - There's been several threads on here talking about making photo books. You might want to search for "blurb book" or "photo book". You should be able to find a lot of information. Or join TPN and ask the folks who put this together - mainly Sarah Clarehart.
