Red Deer hind
For a few days we tried to catch this shot. Well, not just this picture but this picture with interesting light. This is the only image wich has both.

iso 250 1/20 sec. F4

Good natural framing and attractive pastel colours in the sky. I like how the deer is peering out from behind the tree.
The lower leaves catch my eye a little as they appear to have a little blue fringing, it doesn't look like it's the cloud colour behind them but perhaps a bit of chromatic abberation. Easily corrected though.

for me, and it's only my opinion, I'd like to see a square crop, take about a third off the top, would focus more on the subject, like it a lot and a very recognisable subject, even in silhouette

cheers

Edwin, not sure this works as well as it could, great idea though - Bradgate by any chance?

I like the idea Edwin and as you say the colours and also the reflection on the end of its nose. The only nit for me is that some of the leaves are sharp and others not due to the DOF and in silhouette it distracts me a bit

Fantastic shot and so different to usual boring same old stuff we see on Deer.
