I may have the chance to buy one of these printers pretty cheap from my work, and I'm wondering if any members are using them?
If so, what are your thoughts?
Thanks,
Kevin

I've had one for almost three years now. I love it. It makes gorgeous exhibition-quality prints on Premium Plus Photo Satin. I've sold a couple up to about 23 x 40. It's relatively inexpensive to run.

The HP 130 makes excellent quality prints. As was noted above, it does really well with HP Premium Plus Satin. In order to really do well, I think it needs to be on one of the HP Premium PLus papers, and those are among the few papers that have the archival guarantee. It does not seem to like matte paper. Note that this is a dye printer, and the prints really do not like water or moisture at all. Overall, I'd say that it prints well on fewer papers than the pigment printers, but the quality it puts out on its preferred papers is pretty incredible. For a printer that will do 24" wide prints, it's relatively small, and certainly less expensive than its competitors, and it is quite efficient, too.
