ey guys. My Rototrim 24 Pro has started scratching the surface of my prints. There are what could best be described as fine scratches on the underside of the plastic bar that hold the paper down in front of the cutter. They do line up with the location of the scratches on the surface of my prints, so I'm pretty sure they're the smoking gun. Okay, it's the Friday before Christmas, and these things are from UK, so I won't be getting a new part in time to meet my fulfillment. Have any of you encountered this? Or are any of you going to run back and check your Rototrim and some prints? I'm thinking of taking some polishing compound to it and smoothing out the scratches, but the scratches don't protrude from the plastic bar, they are fine indentations. The only thing that goes through the trimmer is paper, of course, so I'm not sure how the scratching occurred. Is the plastic really softer than photo paper?

Hmmm. We've abused the heck out of our Rototrims in the last 20 years and never experienced any scratches. I'm wondering if you want to try a thorough cleaning under the bar? Idle speculation, because I really don't know.
