Canon 5D Mk2 does not work with CS3 or Lightroom 1.4 right? Does anybody know of a plugin for CS3 or Lightroom 1.4 that work with the new 5D Mk2.

Thanks
Jody

Just convert your 5D2 raw file to DNG format and it should work with both applications.

Adobe DNG Converter:

For Windows
For Mac OS

I have bought the Canon 50D, and ran into the same problem. I upgraded to lightroom 2.0, and downloaded the 2.1 and 2.2 upgrades for free. I really like using this to view the raw files as it saves a lot of conversion time. Lightroom 2.2 has a few more options that I really like. To me it was a worth while investment. You can keep what ever photoshop you currently have, as it will transfer the file into photoshop as required.

Hey Jody, I was going through the same issues Saturday after just getting my 5DMll. The Digital photo professional software that comes with the camera works but not to my liking. I've been using that with the old 5d and liked it a little better but I also used Lightroom and the raw converter in CS3. So far I'm liking the LR 2.2 I tried it with some smaller format files(a batch of 30 files around 10mb's each for non art purposes) and it worked very fast. However I'm noticing a lot longer processing time on my PC with the larger Tif files. :frown:
Time for a new system.
