Snow Drifts this high belong in Utah, not Snoqualmie!
We lay awake with the wind pounding the house all night long. This morning, we finally found the snow. It blew off the ground and out of the sky into the corners of our yard and into the neighbors driveway.

We have over a foot at our house with a half inch of freezing rain sandwiched in between. Pretty crazy weather. (and nice house also).

It's still coming down here in Spanaway as I'm writing this. I feel like I'm still in Massachusetts!
Looks like you live up in Snoqualmie Ridge by the golf course. I work up there from time to time.

Is it shoveled out of the way yet Nancy? And, Mark...that is grim, hows the interstate, i may be using it in the next few weeks to get to the Dalles Dam. Just have to go through the preliminary stuff and i will be living there in a trailer at a park for awhile. I've been watching your weather but it doesnt say how much snow is there, now i know.
No... if this were Massachusetts, we'd be hearing the plower's union screaming for more funding. Out here, there simply aren't any plows!

As of this morning, I-84 is closed both ways between Troutdale and Hood River. 14 on the Washington side is close from Camus to the Bridge of the Gods. The only way to get here from Portland is to go around Hood on 26 then down 35.
The video and liquor stores are open though, we'll be set for a while!

Wow! I heard some folks in Portland and Hood River had a few feet. Glad I'm home. Yes the driveway was dug out. But, it's a growing pile all over again.
That was our neighbor's house. Shack Nasties are getting to us. We'll head out tomorrow for another hike, but might need a whistle. They are saying more snow tomorrow.
Merry Christmas everybody.
Hey, everyone, great snow shots. Marc, that is one happy looking dog. I've got a Poodle who thinks he's in heaven in all the snow. Of course he scampers around like Twinkle Toes, while I look like I'm in training boots! I'm glad it's starting to warm up...

Sure - the snow is shoveled out of the way just in time for more to dump. The 6 foot drift melted to about 4 feet, and then it snowed again. And again. Minor flurries with only an in of accumulation is what we have. It's just enough to stop the garbage collectors. I'll spare the eyesore shots. We have a month worth of garbage from 4 families piled up outside waiting...YUCK.
