Rather, a straggler from last summer. This was taken during a canoe trip in to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, located in northeastern Minnesota. These trees were part of an extensive forest fire that took place a year before. More details can be found on my blog if interested.

Summer looks real good right now with the 35 below zero windchills we have in Wisconsin...
Nice light here, cyan looks a bit heavy in the grasses, maybe try bringing the green out some. Minor nit though.

Joel-
Another nice one you have here. The starkness of the dead branches with the lush green is a good combo.
I saw it on your blog and was wondering if you would add it here. Glad you did.

A wonderfully lit scene. With all of the winter posts recently, I first thought I was looking at snow on the branches amid the greenery. The light, branches and FG work well together.

Beautiful warm lighting, Joel. It gives me hope. Nice work with the complicated composition.

I love the lighting and seeing the grass growing amid the bare trees and branches, Joel...very nice!

Nice colors on this one. The lighting is fantastic.
This one's all about the light, Joel. Nicely seen.

Joel, the light here is splendid which actually takes away the chaotic of the scene. The horizontal branches of the tree in the FG adds a nice touch to the vertical patterns of the BG. Nice image!
