Autumnal Glow
Thank you so much for the kind words on the Dawn Roar shot. Easily my best deer photograph to date. This is another from the same morning. This is a hind just standing in the most amazing scene, but it makes for a very different shot, being far more tranquil, compared to the bellowing stags. Thanks for looking, C&C Welcomed.

Canon EOS 1Ds mkII, EF600mm f/4 IS L, Gitzo tripod, black widow gimbal head, AV, ISO 200, 1000th @ f/8, +1 stop, minor curve alteration, shot at 4600K and increased to 4800K, no colour work

I love the ambiguity of the subject. Look at it once and the hind is facing you, look at it again and it is facing away. Superb image.

Lovely shot, Elliott. Glad you posted this as I somehow missed your Dawn Roar shot so I've just checked it out - also a cracker!

I think this is very good Elliot, perhaps not quite as good as 'Dawn Roar'. David is spot on about the ambiguity of the hind's pose. Fascinating effect. :toast: :toast:
