Not a photo ??
Scanned Tree buds.
Came across this tonight.
It was for an article I wrote on the identification of trees by buds in the winter. It was usful when doing woodland or eco surveys. The buds were scanned on a printer scanner, and then selected and filed .
The whole thing was assembled in Corel draw and paint Shop Pro.
People don't realise how useful a scanner can be. Good for fossils too !.
Not a true photo I suppose - or is it ?
Cheers

Completely different way of making pictures.
May be a nice topic to start a discussion : "What is a photograph?"
In the age of digit's what's the difference between a scanned object and a photographed object. The result is the same in your case. A something different picture.

I think I'm gonna get the dust of my scanner and play with it. Inside it's warm and there is coffee.

By the way I like the picture/scan or what ever you like to call it.

That article is that available for everybody who is interested??

Thanks Tom
Yes - good question ! Its all digital anyway . Some will not agree.
The article was only a guide for use in the field, , and is long gone, but the file posted here is easy enough to use. I could send you a bigger version if you need one.
Cheers

Ingenious and very effective John. You should have posted it without the text - a very nice Christmas quiz - mind you, I reckon I would have scored near zero.

Hi John,

Thanks. I think this one is big enough. If not I'll let know.
After translating it, I'll print it and laminate (hope this is the right word) it, so it stays dry.
Thanks again.

Good idea here John (and nicely executed). I like the ash - reminds me of deer's feet. Might use this with our Junior Rangers after Xmas - I think we're doing tree identification with them - if that's ok?
