Icy Intimate
Inspired by Brad's post, here's one I took last winter during a cold blast. I have never been too sure about this one but for what it's worth, Mill Creek in transition.

I wasn't sure what I was going to see when I opened this post called "Icy Intimate" - glad it's just a frozen creek! I always love these frozen water scenes - and this one is very well done!

Wayne: Well seen. I especially like the small window in the ice revealing the underlying stream bed. 2 thumbs up. >=))>

Echoing Bill's comment, the stream bed below the ice being revealed adds just that much more to an already nice image.

Ice patterns are a wonderful subject to photograph. I've seen it done many times. The wonderful thing to me is that they are such unique natural formations that can change in minutes, never to be repeated again. Who wouldn't want to photograph something like that!
The reveal of the rock bottom through the opening and the subtle color showing is really nice in this Wayne. Very well done.

Wayne, I agree what others have said about this shot. Ice always yields interesting patterns.

Wayne a really cool abstract like image of the ice with neat patterns. Merry Christmas
