Things have been very busy here and I've been gone more than home, but before I forget I just want to wish you all a happy holiday season and a great 2009. I see a lot of new names here in this forum and that is good to see. I bet the contributions are probably double from when I joined NPN ( in its 1st year!). Kudos to Tony, Chuck, and the gang for taking this forum to the next level.

After 14" of snow here in the past 24 hrs ( a 15 year record) I feel like I am back in the Midwest. The only difference is that my town doesn't own a plow, and they use no salt or brine liquid as to protect the roadside vegetation. We are expecting 4 more inched on Wednesday, then back to our normal rainy winter.( Mid May-late October only has on average about 2" or rain here in NW Oregon)

Have a good one folks.

This image was shot outside Cody Wyoming about 2 weeks ago.

Have a good one!

Jack, Merry Christmas to you and happy shooting throughout the 2009 season. I wish I could attest to all the snow as those 14" in the last 24 hrs you have got is probably more than any snow we have received in SW Indiana / SE Illinois over the past 5 yrs combined. Now ice, sleet, that is a different story! Happy Holidays! :wavey:

Merry Christmas,Happy Hanuka,Seasons Greetings to all. It was a great year image wise from everyone and I've learned a lot too. May your 2009 be better if you need it and Blessed no matter what! More snow and wind in Chicago; may your commutes to loved ones be safe.

You folks are getting dumped on. A friend from Tacoma said this will only be the thrid white Christmas since he started keeping records in 1960. The two previous were less than 2' of snow.

Great scene, Jack. This has been our third snowiest December to date....we're now officially over the 5 foot mark (total snowfall).

Merry Christmas Jack, and enjoy the snow you are getting this year!
