Trinity River Wild in Fort Worth
Fort Worth is not what most people think of for wilderness photography but it is home so I try to find what I can. Here is one from the Trinity River at a spot that is a 5 minute walk from my home. The river is overlooked by most but this stretch of it is know to a few kayakers that will frequent it after heavy rains as the rock ledges make a good run. They also make a good photograph.

BTW- taken on the Solstice-hello winter.

Darren, I really like the water in the foreground and the way your photo leads you to the sky. I did not know there was anything you could paddle in Fort Worth, great to know.

Darren a really neat image with a lovely sky. Looks like the ledge would make a nice surfing wave with some more water.

Beautiful shot! I really like the perspective and shooting position you selected.

Good message too, many people seem to overlook what is right nearby to photograph.

I like it, Darren - the foreground detail is interesting, and the sky is great. Very nice!

Good perspective and a pleasing comp Darren. Plenty of detail throughout and I like the color of the sky and the "splash" of green in the river. Well done!

A wonderful example of using what one has. Nice shot Darren really leads my eye into the scene.

Nice color in the sky, Darren, and I like how the ripples in the water resemble the clouds. Nice work!
