Group of Eagles
taken on a hilltop in a snowy cornfield, coyote carcass was for dinner.

Theres an immature flying in from behind to take the feast.

One thing i have learned about the immature eagles is they love to take the food rather than finding it themselves.

Have seen some midair fights because of it.

I've yet to get a decent photo of an eagle... They are quite the scavenger at times. Nice group shot, thanks for sharing.

Interesting shot of a variety of plumages. How close are you able to get before they scatter?

Nice shot. It shows them in an different view than we usually catch.

contrast here is tough,,,, i can get sometimes within 200ft., especially when the food is fresh and in short supply, they then go into a real scavenger mode and dont pay alot of attention to you. All of the snow melted yesterday with heavy rain,, im just leaving for houston tx this am, when i get back i might get some better contrast and color with no snow.

This is a very different look. I like how you caught one in mid-air.

Nice to find a group of Eagles for a change, rather than the usual single one.
