Lake Barlkley Sunrise
This was taken in late October at the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area. http://www.lbl.org/Home.html There are many photo opportunities there, it's in western KY not far from MO, IL and IN, as well as TN.

I've noticed on the MWNP there are not any locations listed, thiscertainly is a great one. 170,000 acres of public land, great birding, fishing and hunting..

I saw this on ES&S and thought it was rather striking. It's tough to get a good sense of scale for some reason. Nice placement of the sun, though I find it a bit overpowering. Raising the brightness of the rest of the scene slightly might balance this a bit more.

Nice composition and great light coming through the fog. I agree with Joel that bringing up a bit of detail in the dark areas might add some context to the image.

I really like the compositions but would also like to see the a little more light on the dark areas.

I'm wondering about a shot that isolates the crack with the sun bursting through...

I like the early morning fog over the water and the star effect of the sun shining through the crack. I think Chuck's idea of bringing up the darker area is worth trying.

I actually did bring up the detail in the stump, it was really dark. To me the contrast gives it a feel that just isnt there without the dark regions...

Nice shot Joe, great placement of the sun and the fog adds to the atmosphere.

I like that you've kept some detail in the shadows.
