Abstract Whoopers
I know before I post this that there will be a good number, probably even a majority, of viewers that aren't keen on it  But I quite like the end result even if it wasn't quite intended! I suppose the only reason I spent a few minutes editing it rather than pressing the delete key was because of the hare shot in the WPOTY a month or so back and in that way perhaps it has opened people's eyes to a different kind of image?

Anyway, for what its worth!

40D + 120-300 + 2xTC @ 600mm, f6.3, ISO 1000 for 1/100
Tripod

Dropped the colour temp a bit from shot and reduced the brightness. Added some canvas to left and top to position the swans better within the frame then cropped to about 85% of the original size. Sharpened.

Love to hear all views!

I quite like it, its different from the everyday record shot, in fact I spent most of today at Martin Mere taking photos of the swans that were abstract and different, concentrating on reflections in the water more than anything, didnt get anything that will keep but enough to go back and try again tomorrow....

I might point my lens skywards after seeing this Magnus

Hi Magnus,

It has something, but I do not know what. I kept also some comparable pictures, which I would have thrown away normally.

:wavey:

I like it :)

It makes me thinking about one of the Brothers Grimm's tale : The Six Swan
