I found this minute abstract image in a junkyard of old vehicles
and farm machinery. Two postage stamps would have fit over it.
I got real close with my macro lens. I don't remember, but I may
have also used an extension tube. I was first attracted by the orange
and turquoise colors and secondly by the textures. The image was originally captured with slide film, then converted to digital.
In post processing I tweaked the saturation and sharpened it slightly. If I ever show it in one of the galleries would you recommend "photo art", "macro," or "off topic"?

It's not nature so I would use off topic or hand of man. Nice image.

Robert,
This is a great macro image - the colors are vibrant and the patterns fascinating. IMO, the only thing natural about this is the implied process of rusting. Technically, the galleries for Macro and PhotoArt should be derivations of nature and so I think Off-topic would be the best. But you'll probably get more views here.... :-)
I love the colors, but I think you could pull back on the saturation of the red/orange just a tad. but no biggie.

Cool abstract. Without the narrative, it would be impossible to even guess what it is.
Robert, I would place this in off topic as Dan suggested, being a non-nature type scene. I kind of knew what it was before I read your comment, but I spent a lot of years working on cars before I got into photography. Another interesting macro perspective.
