I was curious if anyone here knew when the purple and yellow flowers at Factory Butte typically bloom. I looked on the BLM website and they say:

"The best time of year to enjoy the flowers of Factory Butte is during the spring from late March to early June. Bright purplemat and bee-plant yellow flowers cover the foreground of the Factory Butte rock formation."

I know that the peak will change from year to year but this seems like a very large window. Just hoping someone here could help me narrow in on two weeks or so.

Thanks,
andy

I believe it was late April when I was there and found tons of flowers. The amount of flowers can vary greatly from year to year, though, depending on the rainfall.

Late April is a good bet but be aware that a good bloom is a rare event and doesn't happen every year.
