without a lake in sight!
I’ve been diversifying my photography lately, it’s been quite a cathartic experience trying all sorts of different stuff from urban decay to landscapes. This is one of my favourite recent landscape shots taken in the South Lake District from the top of Birker Fell looking north into the Lakes on what was an increasingly rare haze free day.
I was going to take some pano shots at this location but having been wandering around for a couple of hours in the bitterly cold wind and snow packed ground I’d nearly lost all use of my hands and legs and had to retreat to the car.......better thermals next time!
Anyway, hope you like the shot and a happy new year to all…..

Been trying to diversify myself Paul, still keep going back to my comfort zone though
A beautiful scene in which you have still managed to get some animals by the look of things. Nice textures and colours.

Paul, very nice, like the long shot rather than the usual wide angle, the Lakes do lend themselves to these sort of shots.
