Xmas Day Waxwing
Hi

The xmas period has been very busy, professionally, however managed to get out Christmas morning before the family awoke, probably the "sweetest time" I have had with Waxies" not a soul around to disturb them (with the exception of me!)

Nikon D200
Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 vr
ISO 600
Matrix metered
Group dynamic focus
exp comp -ve 1/3

I am so envious of you chaps and your waxwings. Never seen one yet, they are not regular visitors in my part of kent :frown: .

A very nice capture you lucky so and so.

NIce one Dave,. A bit more space on the right would make it hang better in the frame maybe.
or perhaps more space all around.
Cheers

Nice pose and the berries bring some more color in.
Agree with John about more space at the right side.
Greetings,

Hi Dave,

Good light, but needs a bit more sharpening I think. I asked my wife if I could "pop" out for first light xmas morning, she didnt need to answer, the look said it all
There's a few nice size flocks knocking about near me, so will try and track them down when I get time !!!

All the best for 09 Dave, and hopefully see you at the conference??

Regards

Rob

Another lovely waxwing shot, but just a bit big in the frame for me
