I cannot for the life of me figure out how to turn color management off in my printer. It is a Canon MP620 and I cannot find anything in the print dialog that says "No color management," or something similar that I could pick. Can anyone tell me how to turn off color management in this printer. Is changing "Matching" to the "None" setting under the "Manual Color Adjustment" tab the same thing as turning color management off? Thanks ahead of time for any help anyone can provide.

Assuming that you are using a version of Photoshop:

Go to File

Select Page Setup

When the popup comes up, select Printer

When the next popup comes up, make sure you select the correct printer in the drop down and select Properties.

When that popup comes up, select Advanced (about the middle of the popup)

When the next popup comes up, on the right side under Printer Color Management, select the middle choice, which should be OFF (No color adjustment)

Hit a bunch of okays to get out of all of these windows.

If you are running a Windows machine, you'll need to go to Settings, Printers and Faxes, and repeat this. Otherwise, you'll get a bunch of unruly messages that basically say things aren't matching and we're too dumb to figure it out.

Now... It is possible that that printer does not allow the "No Color Management" selections in which case you have a problem. Most current printers will let you do that, but when I first started printing digitally about 6 years ago, a lot of the lower end printers didn't let you do this.

If you are running something other than a relatively recent version of PS (Elements since at least 3, and PS since at least 7), the above directions may not work. I don't know for sure - those are version of PS I am familar with. If you are not using a version of PS, try looking for something similar under the printer settings.
