This is one of my favorite places many of you will recognize. For those unfamiliar with my equipment and style I mostly do stitched images of about 4 to 6 shots. I have been shooting with a canon IDS mark III for about a year now and this shot was taken with the 24-105L. I was wanting a 5D mark II a year ago but didn't want to wait a year for it's release.
Thanks for looking and comments or critique is appreciated.

Very nice, Gale, I am pretty sure I know this spot!

Hard to argue with success! Looks as realistic as 2D can make it Gale. Beautiful vibrance and wonderful detail in this fall classic! Great work.

This is stunning. Would love to see a large print of this.

Great pano with nice detail. I've been told that 24-105 is a sweet lens, and I'm thinking about getting that one for my "main" lens. I wouldn't upgrade yet, unless you can get a lot of $$$ out of your camera.

I am impressed at how consistent the color and exposure is in all your panoramas. You have obviously invested a lot of time in perfecting your technique. The colors are just stunning.

Another great pano image Gale. It seems to me like the harder technical challenge here was the tonal range. How did you manage to pull out so much shadow detail without blowing out those brightly lit leaves in the background?

This is great Gale! I love the big boulders with the stream coming down the middle. and the foliage of the trees, wow! The detail is just awesome! Your doing some mighty fine work Gale.
Thanks everyone for all the kind comments, I really appreciate it. I never know which image will get the most response sometimes.
John I could tell you but then I would have to kill you. Kidding
I don't remeber exactly what I did on this image. I do use fill light in raw sometimes and use a simple lasso selection then levels technique alot. Both are not the best technicaly but you do what works for you. The blue in the sky is what I was the most proud of not blowing out.
This is really nice, Gale. What a great job with the processing - beautiful saturated color and lots of detail in shadows w/o blowing out the sky.

Beautiful shot, Gale, and great work overcoming all the technical challenges involved in a shot like this. I think I recognize this place, too.
The little patch of blue sky is actually something I would work to get rid of. It strikes me as an anomaly that pulls the eye away from the great stuff in the image, but maybe that's just me.
This probably will be groan inducing, but I'm going to suggest that we should call you the Pano Man.

Does anyone here even remember Billy Joel?
