LR2 question

I received LR2 for Christmas, do I need to ubninstall previous version of LR, will it affect anything if I do/don't? Thanks in advance.

ps I tried a search because I knnow Bret Edge asked this question but I couldn't find anything.

No need to uninstall previous versions.

It won't affect it either way, Joseph. I removed the previous versions just to clean up the hard drive, but that's personal preference.

I do believe it will go through a process of redefining your existing database. Probably not an issue, but there's no way of going back to LR1. Nat, is my memory correct on this?
