If any of you are in the area, the Bluff Balloon Festival will be happening from Jan. 16-18, with a sunrise liftoff at the Valley of the Gods occurring on Sunday morning.

I've been meaning to get to Bluff for the Balloon Festival for years. Sadly, I doubt that this will be the year. Thanks for the reminder.

Ah well....Perhaps we'll meet each other later this Spring in the Bluff area.

I was there crewing a balloon a few years ago. Flying through the Valley of the Gods is great! It's a bit tricky chasing balloons in there as well as making sure you land somewhere you can get the trailer close to.
The balloon shot I posted for the December theme was from that trip.
