Firstly a happy new year to everybody on the this forum and my best wishes for 2009.
I didn't have much time to photograph lately, so my first post in 2009 is one from last year.

Happy New Year to you Sandra, Lovely lighting!

Hi Sandra, great picture, would have liked a slight turn of head towards me but the lighting makes the picture for me. He looks like he's been caught in a night watchmans torch light while up to no-good!!

A great shot with a moody atmosphere which makes a change from the "bright" images.
The way the light is spot-lighting the front of the bird is really nice, artistic and a bit different.
The only nit I have is with the bird looking away. Had his head been slightly angled your way then that'd be the icing on the cake.

This is something different Sandra and it works well for me, the light is just right
