With all the Kent Waxwings being posted I thought I would join in with one of my efforts from an all too short session, couldn't make a return due to my broke car
Taken in the last moments before the sun went behind a building... one thing to note is that with the location being an industrial estate it is very difficult to get a clean bg.
This is almost the shot that I was after... and a nightmare to process as the crest being very close in colour to the bg tends to dissappear...
All the best & thanks to Tony for the directions from B & Q
that's a fantastic shot Phil. Great light and composition.

Well you certainly made the most of that short session Phil. A very nice image and very well composed. I did try and attempt to photograph the birds down there but didn't even get close to this.. A slightly different location made all the difference so I don't suppose you missed much..

Bearing in mind the nature of the site you did well to get a background as clean as this. Is the car back in action?

Hopefully I shall get lucky with these next year. Got other things to concentrate on at the mo.
A super image Phil, and well worth the climb

Colours are lovely, just shows how great light can be at that time. Like the comp with the waxwing eyeing up one last berry!

Best I've seen in a good while. The colour of BG and crest doesn't bother me. The composition is lovely and the added colour of the red leaves is a nice touch. Was going to head down, but doesn't seem worth it now!
