Blackbird No. 127
Blackbird
Went up to the apple tree yesterday with the intention of concentrating on Blackbirds. After looking at all my stock material I realised how few decent shots of such a common bird I had.
Two cards later I,d had enough. !
Still sorting but this is my favourite so far.

The bird and the apples are lovely and sharp and I like the pose but I find the OOF foliage on the left of the frame distracting as it doesn't balance the picture.

Wonderful pose and the apples are a true bonus!
Agree on the comments concerning the BG.

another great shot from the "apple series" if the BG had been further OOF it would have added to the image.

Works fine for me John,
the bird stands out clear from the BG.
I like it as it is.

Lovely shot, no nits from me. Gorgeous detail in the bird. I bet if you showed this to a non-birder not many would guess it as a Blackbird.

a very nice shot John, I do enjoy seeing these birds eating the apples. The series has a very natural feel to it.
