OK, it's not nature photography (well, some is...) Back in November I put up a new blog site to feature just my abstract photography. Since then I've been posting an image each day (pretty much) and at this point have enough up there that I thought I'd share the site with the group.
Aside from finishing my Lightroom book (within the next two weeks) this is what I'm working on these days. C&C always appreciated!

You have a nice collection here Nat. I like the ones where you are using layers which are common recently as well in some of the older images as well. Going back into November the 22nd and 29th are great and had me stopped.
It is always more difficult to find the small items like you have done and turn them into abstracts as it takes a good eye to do so. I have added your blog into my RSS feed and look forward to seeing more of the abstract work.
Real nice collection, Nat, im impressed at the consistent quality in all the shots. My favorite is proabbly 'expressionism'. I have one suggestion: its great seeing the individual shots, but how about a big montage of all the shots on one page, a wall-o-abstracts so to speak I think it would be cool to take em in all at once. Just a thought.
TOO fun, Nat! These really get my creative juices going! Abstracts are great composition training tools as well as powerful artistic expressions. Ironically, if they were paintings, these would probably be called "nonrepresentational"... but how could a photo be nonrepresentational?

That's great, Nat! I especially like the Drydock series. And Oxide. Very cool.

Thanks for the link Nat. It was nice to enjoy some familiar Coalson abstracts ... especially the many images I haven't seen before. Great stuff, man.

Lots of nice stuff. I've seen so many traditional landscape shots that it's nice to see something different.

Love your collection, Nat. It's inspiring and very professionally done. I love abstracts and this inspires me to be on the lookout or spend more time shooting them. Very nice!
