This is a 100% center crop of a little spider web this morning about two minutes after the temp hit 33 degrees. We had some nice hoar frost up on the mountain but it melted in a hurry. The dark spot in the middle of each water droplet is my head, and you can also see my tripod legs.

I am surprised the frost melted so fast on you. I started my morning around the Big Piney near Dover and finished my day at Pedestal Rocks around two o'clock. Everything was still frozen at Pedestal Rocks when I left.

Actually it could have been this afternoon - I don't wear a watch, and with the sun hiding I sometimes have trouble knowing what time it is. There was no fog on most of our mountain - and therefore no hoar frost - just in a couple of areas - I was surprised to find it so spotty - normally it is an elevation thing up here...

On the top of county road 16, I guess that is Pilot Rock rd. I could only see about 30 yards.

Great shot. We get hoar frost about every 5 years. Good opportunity for shots - but it doesn't last long.

Now this is a composition you don't see everyday. Great vision Tim, quite unique!
