Hi guys -
Anyone used IR camera traps before and/or have any opinions on Trailmaster (PS1550) or Photo Trap? Both seem quite similarly specced, and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on which one to get.
I will be using them for setting overnight camera traps, and also for extended (week-long) traps as well.
I found both of these a bit expensive, so I am in the process of building my own camera trap. A few teething problems so far but I think I've almost got it nailed! If you're interested, just drop me an email and I'll send you some details of what parts etc I have used.

Here's a couple of articles on using the Phototrap that might be useful :

Billy, thanks for that. Message sent!
David - thanks for that link. I did come across that Phototrap article before - that's where I learned about Phototrap, actually. It seems like a pretty good product. OTOH, the Trailmaster was used by Steve Winter and Nat Geo for pretty much the same application I have for it - snow leopards. But it only works in point-to-point mode while Phototrap has a proximity sensor as well. I'll read it again, however, to see if there are any insights.
Then I need to decide if I want the advanced triggering controls of the trailmaster or the proximity-based triggering of the Phototrap.
