This is one of the most scenic spots in Arkansas (especially when the water is running well) and pretty easy to get into - but shhhhh, don't tell anyone...
Nice shot, Matt, as well as the many others on your flickr page! Nice to have you posting on the forum, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work.
I'm pretty sure I met you at Twin Falls on Richland one morning a couple of years ago, your name sure does sound familiar. I think you and another photographer had gone up Falling Water instead of Richland from the campground. I think there are probably quite a few people who do that (I did) the first time there. Not necessarily a bad thing - there's a lot of nice stuff up there.

Hi Matthew, my server at work restricts many photo sharing sites so I have to use my iphone. If you could make you link active, it is easier to get to your link without cutting and pasting. You can do this by clicking on the wording Text Style Menu at the bottom of the page. It then should be active like this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/matthewkennedy/
Matthew glad you could get out and catch this jem with some water in it. Nice job on this one. I saw alot of nice richland images on your flickr also.

Nice capture Matthew.. This is a falls the Arkansas folks "forgot" to show us last year at the Spring Gathering. I'm sure it was just an oversight on their part...
Appreciate it Tom for the link advice. It's weird it seems like I was just in high school running networks and servers and building websites. Now I feel almost lost on the internet and computers. Bill I don't think that was me you met at Richland. I have thought about going up Falling Water just haven't done it. Don't worry you will probably see plenty of my work. In fact you may get sick of me.

Nice work on this falls image Matthew. I don't know this location but it seems you caught it with a real nice flow.
You've got a real nice collection of images on your Flickr page too. Looking forward to your participation here!
This is actually the lowest I have ever seen this falls. I've been I think 4 times now. I like the creek at this level it makes it easy to get around and I think it gives this fall a little more personality. You can't hardly cross the thing when the water is any higher.

Very nice, impressive work on your Flickr page as well. I've done a little bit of photography around the Eureka Springs area, but it looks like I'm going to have to spend some more time in Arkansas with my camera, lots of beautiful spaces there. Thanks for sharing!

Matthew, I finally got a chance to check out your shots when I got home tonight and you really have some nice work on you site. I look forward to more of your posts.
You know Bill I may have met you up at Richland before. I saw your picture on your website and you sure look familiar. I remember a guy that I talked to up there that looked like you, it was March of 2006. I don't think you would have looked at me and thought I was a photographer though. All we had was a tiny point n shoot. I am a little curious to see if that was you or not now. We camped there all weekend and were in my old brownish colored xterra with a UCA sticker if any of that rings a bell.

Beautiful shot Matthew. Your composition is clean and elegant, and a reminder that one can find some great scenery in the Arkansas woods any time of the year. I've been to that spot on Graves creek twice, and look forward to returning again. Did you come in to the area from the south?
Merle - We also forgot to show you the 45-foot waterfall within sight of where Matthew shot this image!
Yes I came in from the south like usual, and I always hate the climb out especially since I am in a car now and can't drive down the hill. The much taller forever falls wasn't flowing all that much so I didn't really concentrate on it. Hey Merle they probably didn't show you the other two about a quarter mile downstream that are in the 20-30 foot range I think. They can be a pain to get to. This canyon has ways of getting you stuck in certain spots if the water is up.
For those who have the new Arkansas Landscapes picture book, this falls is on page 7, a shot from underneath Forever Falls is on page 22, and a shot of the upper end of this canyon is on page 65. (Also in the waterfall guidebook of course.)
