I've been distracted from photography for several months now and decided I've got to get back into this. Here is an image from my New Years hike up Salt creek from Shores Lake. I was drawn to the single rock sticking up out of the water.
Let me know what you think. This is the first post from a new computer and I'm not sure if I've established that I'm the Alpha partner yet. Thanks for looking.

Hey Bruce, nice to see you posting again. I like your shot, when I first looked at it, the rock looked like a bear in the water!

This has a minimalist feel Bruce. I'll bet this would look real nice with a watercolor treatment in photoshop and printed on canvas. There is an inherent brush stroke quality to this. Just a thought. Thanks for sharing, don't be a stranger!

I've hit some of those rocks while canoeing... BANG! TIP! FLIP! CURSE! Anyways, I like the blue and gold colors together.

Hi Bruce, the colors are wonderful in this, the blues and gold look real nice. The rock appears slightly soft but it's composed well and is a pleasure to view.

Hey Bruce. Nice simple composition, and I can almost hear the water rushing by! Thanks for sharing.
Bruce: Really nice color palette and comp. Was your tripod in the water or some other source of vibration? I'm wondering if that might account for the softness of the rock. I think a slower shutter speed yet may also have rendered the water on the rock a bit silkier but this looks pretty darn good as is. Well done.>=))>
