I keep thinking that being fortunate enough to have a covered bridge in the area I should take advantage of it. It seems that like a lot of the things I think I should shoot I have not caught the shot that I think I should. I finaly went to BW to see if that helped and I think so. The bridge is red as usual and just seems to be way too much in most shots. I will keep working on it. The original bridge was built in 1866 washed out in 1982 and was raised and rebuilt in 1984 with most of the original lumber.

There are a bunch of covered bridges in Ashtabula, Ohio. There are two different routes and you would need two days to do justice to photographing them.
It's funny, there are so many people photographing the bridges that when you go there in the spring, summer, you can see trails where everyone is looking for the "sweet" spot to shoot them.
Thanks for sharing.

I like the B&W treatment, Kendall. Might suggest bringing up the levels to brighten the snow. Not so much that you lose the detail, but just a bit.

Chuck's suggestion of bringing up the levels in the snow was a good one, Kendall...the second one looks much better....nice work.

Kendall, I like the composition and the BW treatment. I also like added PP from the second image. For some reason, it looks like the trees aren't as sharp as they might be. Was this a windy day? Nice capture.
