Spy-hopping
Was just going through some old negatives and found this one of a black bear cub which although not a particularly great shot the story to go along with it was much more exciting.

I worked with black bears for two summers the second of which one of the local female bears known as biscuit came wondering into the research site with three little cubs in tow. I was busy preparing food in the food shack not knowing she was lingering around the doorway. I open the door and bang she grabs hold of the door and swings it open. So there I am face to face with biscuit so what happens next??

Well I chuck the food bucket over her head and gently push her backwards out of the shack and into the open from which I make a quick get away. Anyway as she eventually ate everything in the bucket she wonders off with her cubs bounding along behind her, the last of which turns and spy hops looking back at me as if to say "ha....and thats how thats done!"

Surprised she didn't come back for seconds the next day after that!

Good story and nice shot too.

Nice shot but I think it's a bit to light. Toning down a bit might do it more justice.
But still nice as it is.

Great story and a nice shot to boot, think my hands would've been shaking too much! Agree with Edwin
