I can't believe it but it is happening again so soon. Check this out

Honest, I am not making this up! Let's hope for some cloudless nights.

Best,
Don

Cool! Thanks Don, maybe I'll be in position for this one!

Thanks for this heads up, Don! I hope for a clear evening and low winds. If so, I'll be out at Lake Conway to see what develops (pun intended)!

For those interested, the following link will give you daily times for sunrise/sunset; moonrise/moonset for your area.

Best to all!

Thanks Don! I was already planning a full moon shot with a long lens, so it'll be HUGE! These astrological updates are great.

Thanks for the reminder Don.

Wishing you guys great shooting later today and Saturday evening. It is going to be cloudy here AGAIN for both moonrises. I've got an open grown, state champion bur oak in the Missouri River bottoms just waiting to be exposed. Maybe one of these years.... :frown:

Of course, I can always haul myself to the site, which is over an hour away, for something less than perigee event.

Best,
Don

Thanks for the heads up, hope I have clear skies for this!

Don,
Thanks for the update.
That bur oak will get lonely if you don't visit it occasionally.

BTW, I'm using Vela Clock on my iPod Touch and my wife's iPhone. Great basic software for following the moon and sun.

Rod,

Thanks for the Vela Clock tip. I have Focalware, which costs twice as much and now I have both!

I am looking forward to the upgrade someday which will have sun and moon information beyond one day. Like Dave mentioned above, I too use my desktop to download several days worth of information from the Navy website before I head out.

Best,
Don
