Flying Sanderling...........
well it is off the ground.

I was mightily impressed with Danny Greens running Sanderling shot and took the opportunity today to have a go. While its not up to the standard of Danny's shot it was great fun trying to capture the image.

Having seen how fast these little birds run that is a very impressive image Tony. Great detail and exposure but if I was being picky I'd say it's a bit tight in the frame for me. Could do with some space to the right for it to 'run into'.

You certainly have lift off here Tony! Agree about the space in front, but hey, you got the shot!! Very nice!

I totally agree about the space, but when they came past that fast that close!!

You certainly nailed this one, a tad on the large side for me, if smaller then you would have had more space for it to run into.

Still an excellent shot, by any standard.

Great exposure and nice amount of detail..

Agree, some more space would be better, still a great image though....
I see you had some light today... It's been dull and cold here for days :frown: would have loved some light today when I found a Snipe that didn't mind his picture being taken... gutted.. chances like that don't come often...

Nice work.

that's very nice - a bit more space on the right and it would be a real beauty!

I agree on the space issue but it is a very minor nit on what is a great image. Both feet off the floor too & good exposure.
Good Stuff

The ultra low viewpoint and the fact that the bird is parallel to you is superb. The fact that you've captured both legs off the ground is the icing on the cake.
A superb and dynamic capture.

Although I also think it is a bit tight in the frame it's certainlly a great capture. The low point of view is wonderful and the lift off is really superb. Very well done.

Nice one Tony - maybe a tad tight in the frame but that is a minor nit!

Great shot - I prefer it to Dannys shot but would also like a little more space around it.

Ah Tony thats a first I have inspired someone   This is a great shot because I know how fast they are and it is difficult to keep up with them.
