I had the road into King's Canyon pretty much all to myself on a Sunday morning. This is one I'm a bit more certain about. All comments welcome.>=))>

Nice capture of the Granite cliffs Bill. Did you pose the red car there for s sense of scale ? I had forgotten the steep drop down to the river canyon. I think one of the more difficult things in the canyon is the ever changing light due to the height of the canyon walls.. Beautiful place to visit... Did you go the the "Stump Field" on the road to the north entrance of Sequoia ? Very interesting place with a lot of possibilities - expecially when the tourists are not crowding in.

Wow. You've done a good job conveying the scale of the location, and this photo also shows a lot of depth with the wall to the right, then the car, then the two mountains behind it.

Man I wish I could have a trip out west like yours ... even if it was a whirl wind trip. This one's not working so much for me Bill, mainly because of the haze over the lighter mountains.
Interestingly, if you crop this to just above the pavement it becomes one of those shots that when you look at it you can't quite be sure whether the light part or dark part is in the foreground. An optical illusion of sorts. Thanks for sharing.
