A slightly different view of a sanderling this time, and one I've only just got round to processing from my RAW library.

Taken at Titchwell beach tideline in October.

Camera: Canon EOS-1D Mark III
Exposure: 0.001 sec (1/1600)
Aperture: f/5.6
Focal Length: 700 mm
ISO Speed: 200
Exposure Bias: 0 EV

Hi Graham. I can see what you were aiming for here but it doesn't quite work for me with the Sanderling looking a bit lost in the frame. Maybe a slight crop to aid compostition would help.

Thanks John/Richard.

Richard - I know what you mean, but I wanted to go for the bird in its environment - to crop too much would lose that I think.

Thanks

A square crop, and I think you will still retain what you want, but will increase the emphasis on the Sanderling.
