Here is my shot from this morning - a dang chilly one too!

Wonderful image Tim. Although there are a lot of different elements, this just plain works. Excellent!

Yup, I probably should have gotten out the chainsaw to get rid of some of those elements but I actually went looking for a scene where I could shoot the moon behind limbs so it worked out...

I think I would leave the elements just as they are - if for no other reason than to wait for a shot like this. Nice shot - and the yellow on the Deere wheels lends a nice accent.

I am pleased you are willing to try different subjects. This image really works . . . even though it is a bit tongue in cheek. I like it.

You bet my tongue was inside my cheek - it was COLD! Otherwise it is pretty much a straight shot with a long lens.

The cheek was a certainly a warm place to keep tongues this morning. Good thing nobody was around triple-dog daring you to touch that Deere with your toungue - OK, OK, so I've been watching A Christmas Story a little too much lately.

Looks like you had some really nice clouds over there to spice up the sky. Beautiful moonset...

Here's to waking up early and shooting the moon :toast: It was a cold one! Nice color and nice big moon/nice big lens.

I did a series of moon shots early this morning using different lenses from 50mm up to 700mm for an upcoming "how to shoot the moon" tutorial. I think this was 420mm, and cropped. It is amazing how tiny the moon is with most lenses.

Nice one. Make a great image for a John Deere calendar.

As always, Very cool Tim. I would be very interested in that tutorial. Your right on how small the moon can be with most lenses.

Love it! All those colors really showcase that big ol' moon. I'd be interested in your tutorial also.
