owl at antelope canyon
Hi RMNP folks,
I'm a new member over on the PNW forum but was over at Antelope Canyon last week and wanted to post this. That place (upper and lower) is truly magical and almost impossible not to get some great shots! But thought i would post this one as we were very fortunate that there was an owl in the Upper canyon when we were there.
Regards,
andy

Cool shot Andy, good catch, I wasn't aware of owls there.

the guide said it was the first time he'd seen any wildlife in the canyon so very lucky!

I have several owl pictures taken up a side canyon from Antelope Canyon.
They were taken when you could still drive yourself in, and I did a little
exploring.

Very nice great horned owl - which can be found in canyons throughout the west. Looks like a large nest - if it is you'll be able to go back and shoot the female, then young until May.

A nice find! Didn't know that these guys nested in the slots out there.
