It seems the Mid-Atlantic forum is gone. Guess I'll try this here. From the Pocono area in Pa. Just off the Lehigh Gorge trail. I wasn't sure of this picture in color. Does the B&W work for anyone? Comments appreciated. Canon RebelXT, Sigma 28-300 lens @ 28mm, F11, 1/4 sec.

Welcome Neven. Very unusual perspective, and a little confusing. Took a minute before I realized that you had to be on a bridge or flying above the falls, looking straight down. I think this would have been evident with a color version. As with most falls the lighting is uneven and you've done a stellar job trying to control it. You could try shadows/highlights in PS to bring out more detail in the surrounding rocks and vegetation, but be careful not to blow out the water highlights. Probably too much info... don't mind me I tend to ramble.

That's a really cool image once I was able to get my bearings. I have to agree that the perspective made it a bit challenging to understand at first. but once I did I really have to say I like it alot.

Hi Nevin, I like the perspective. I've tried to get a view like this but usually back away from the edge. I also live in the Poconos and am glad to find someone near by. When it gets warmer we should get together sometime. Kent

Thanks everyone for the comments. Kent, I don't live in the Pocono's though, i live in Berks County. But i would love to have a partner to photograph with sometime. Contact me through edgetime@aol.com and we can talk. Now, here is a view from the bottom of the same falls. I'm not happy with the lighting, but it will show you where i was shooting.
