This is a simple little scene from Death Valley Nat. Park over New Year.

After seeing your beautiful prints last summer, I've reluctant to criticize something on the web. The color and composition of this is nice but it doesn't grab me a whole lot. That said, I'll wait to see a print.

I like this, Harley. It isn't one of your best, but I think I am drawn to the colors and the way all the elements tell a story of the desert.
I like this. I think it has a calm simplicity to it that is quite satisfying.

NIce shot, Harley. I like the curving lead in line that the stones facilitate. There are
a lot of things happening here regarding the elements of art and all good. You have
texture, shapes, color, and lines. Keep up the good work.

This image grabbed my attention immediately Harley. A lot to like in this from top to bottom, esp in the detail, color transition, and comp

I like this. I love the mixture of colors and the way the main elements sweep up through the image from bottom to top. Good stuff!

Harley,
I can say without hesitation that I LOVE this! The combination and placement of the elements just goes together perfectly for me. the glow on the dried bushes anchor the scene for me, but I love all of this. The subtle pastels of the sand and overall color is excellent. I can only agree with Dan on one point - I can't wait to see this in print.
Harley,
I'm not sure how I feel about this one. I think the composition is well done and the light looks great. My eye is just battling between the FG rocks and the tumble weed in the MG. I think that the point of image. Nicely done.
Desert images are not easy to pull off IMO. Beyond the big rolling sand dunes there at times seems to be a challenge for compositions that woe the crowd. However, this scene captures some of the best that those desert environments can offer. For me it really displays a certain fragile dimension here that most would never see and surely never photograph. As such I think this will make a perfectly excellent large print.
