1) Name
2) Location
3) Website
4) Likely species list
5) Best time of year to go.
6) Indicate if you are willing to be the lead.
I will draw up and post the gatherings dates in about a week but would like to stay away from the 'hot-spots' as much as practically possible this year.

Hmm, the problem with not going to honey pot sights is that others tend to offer lower density or require a level of fitness to attain subjects.
I could recommend a few spots in my local area.
Name: Bleaklow
Location: High Peaks/Snake pass
Website: http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/main/w-highpeakestate
Species: Red Grouse, Mountain Hare, possible Short eared Owl, Snow Bunting, Raven. Also Landscape.
Time of year: All year round though JAN-MARCH for white hares and displaying Grouse.
Leader: If desired, though for the hare you need to be very fit as the hares are most easy to find on the top (600m+ ASL)
Name: Swallows wood
Location: High Peaks/Pennines
Website: http://www.saveswallowswood.org.uk/
Species: Pied Flycatcher, Spotted Flycatcher, Sparrow Hawk, Kestrel, Warblers, Wagtails, Crow species, Great, blue, Coal, Long tailed Tits. Possible Short eared Owl, Reed Bunting, Raven, Crossbill, Lapwing, Curlew and Kingfisher. Also Landscapes.
Time of year: All year round though late spring is best for parents feeding chicks.
Leader: If desired, couple of good pubs near by for food.
Is this the type of thing you are looking for Tom?
