Firstly, I must apologise for not being around very much lately. I had been unwell over Christmas and new years and took a little longer to recover. Hence the lack of images and perhaps quality too.

I appreciate this image won't be that well received as I felt I had lost any drive over the last few weeks. I was determined to get out at the weekend just to try and get one 'ok' shot to get the ball rolling again for me. I know more DOF would have been better by the way !

All C&C welcome (perhaps expected)

Hi Drew,
Hope you get well completely now. I like the picture.
Personally I would crop a little from the top. But I do get often the comment I do crop to much, so I think it is personal.

Good to see you back, Drew. Nice picture and a good one to start the new year with. And if I may give you a little suggestion. Just try to photograph the bird from a lower point of view next time. This will certainly improve them.

Hope you make a speedy recovery. You can't be losing your drive at this time of year what with all these photogenic frosts we've been having.
A nice shot of the Robin.

there's not too much wrong with that Drew, although a lower viewpoint might have helped. Hope you're feeling better soon

A tad on the large side for me, and as you say DOF is a problem, with this species you could have tried 1/60 and then got f11.

Bottom line, a very nice Robin shot, well worth dusting the dust off.

Many thanks for all your comments and the warm welcome back !

I agree with all nits etc, so hopefully the positive response should get me out more often again !

take care all

Not bad at all for "one ok shot", hope it gets you back into the groove
