CS2 won't load files

Has anyone had the problem of CS2 not load files in Windows XP?

Everything was sailing along nicely until one day CS2 decided not to load files anymore. When I try, the program just hangs and eventually I get the 'No Response' message and the program freezes up.

I'm currenly working through the solutions walkthrough from the Adobe help centre, but so far nothing has fixed the problem.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and fixed it?

Thanks,
Dave. :frown:

You can try going to CS2 preferences and clearing them. Later you can reset them to taste. You might also clear the system cash on your computer.

Sounds very much like a corrupt preferences file. Try this:
While holding the Ctrl + Alt + Shift (PC) or Command + Option + Shift (Mac OSX), Open the application, choose Start > Programs > Photoshop CS2
An Alert box appears, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file?"
Click Yes. I'm guessing that will clear the problem.

I'VE FIXED THE PROBLEM (Yet to see if it stays fixed!)
I had to install a PostScript printer driver! This is one of the steps in the Adobe walkthrough fix. The things I tried before this that didn't work were -
* Updating Windows & CS2 files
* Running CS2 without any other applications running
* Clearning/changing the CS2 preferences file
* Uninstalling and Reinstalling CS2 from the Desktop.

Thanks Ed and Keith for your help, it is greatly appreciated.
