Taken in poor light.

Canon 1DMK2 | 100-400mm L | ISO 640 | F5.6 | 1/320th sec

This owl is very confiding and a puts in regular, almost twice daily appearances. It almost always has a good look at me as I press the shutter, but just carries on quartering the field. I've given up bothering to put any form of camo' on as it's not needed.

All I need is the light to improve.

Regards

Hi ARD,

Nice shot of this Female, she looks to be a fairly dark bird with very pronounced markings, here's hoping the light improves for you.

As you say the light here isn't good, but great practice for you when the light is right and I am looking forward to those images....

An excellent shot. A good/sound foundation to work from.

Well done. A nice flight image. Good luck with the light, I have been suffering too.
