Over the moon
Dropped by the dam this morning to see if I could catch a eagle close to the setting moon. I only stayed 10-15 min, the -15 degree wind chill helped me be satisfied with the half dozen shots I got. This is the best of the bunch. I had several with a little better moon but this was the best overall. The other guys there were much better dressed, though the fella from Milwaukee said it was rather balmy I noticed his cold weather gear was all buttoned up.

I like the concept here. It looks like you have about a million miles of DOF! Even though it would be nice to see the bird closer to the moon, you have a very intriguing shot here. Well done.

Beautiful image, Kendall. I agree with Brian that the space between the eagle and the moon is more than ideal, but under the circumstances it's an extraordinary shot.

Yeah, ideally I'd like to see the eagle a greater distance from the edge of the frame, but ideally I'd like a lot of things. In reality I know that I'd be thrilled with this capture.
